I started my professional career with a construction company, Benhaus Construction cc, in Rustenburg. I completed my practical training for my National Diploma: Engineering: Civil with this company in 1995. I remained with the company during 1996 in the position of Site Manager.

I started working for M Civils (Pty) Ltd in January 1997. I started my career with M Civils as a Site Manager, but I was promoted to the position of Site Agent by the end of 1999.

As Site Agent I managed contracts in different disciplines, such as upgrading of roads, construction of water and sewer reticulation systems and the construction of Waste Water Treatment Plants.

In 2006 I was promoted to the position of Contract Manager. My areas of responsibility in this position include all aspects of the contracts in terms of the ten knowledge areas of project management.

Currently I am mainly involved in the administration of the company's contracts and I am responsible for all tendering procedures in order to procure more contracts.

The largest contract I successfully tendered and completed  to date was to the value of R 795 million. This project involved the construction of roads for the implementation of the Rustenburg Rapid Transport System.

My field of experience is mainly in bulk earthworks, road construction, all types of infrastructure developments and turnkey housing developments.

I have also presented project management courses for the Damelin Management School for a period of two years, from 2004 to 2005.
